HISTORY

The Nisaopen floorball tournament was founded in 2000. That year, it was held twice under the same name. First in May as a school tournament and then during the summer holidays as a tournament for clubs.
The following year, one tournament was held for everyone - school teams, ASŠK clubs, teams for DDM and of course teams organized under ČFbU today Czech floorball.

Currently, teams not registered anywhere can also enter the tournament.

In the first year for clubs, a total of 18 teams in three categories participated. All matches were played over two days in the Dukla Liberec sports hall.

The winners were:

younger students - SSK Futur
older students - SSK Future
juniors GU19 - Květy Moravy

a foreign team participated in the first year. In the junior girls category, the Saxony-Anthál region team arrived in Liberec.

Over the years, we have played in a number of halls and gyms. In addition to Dukla, we played in the original winter stadium in Liberec (today Svyjanská Arena), the Kord hall, the gym of ZŠ Barvířská, ZŠ U Školy, the gym and sports hall of TU Liberec, and SH ZŠ Dobiášova. One year, we also played in the sports hall in Turnov. Finally, we found the largest facility at the Ball Sports Halls in Liberec. We also played in the modern HomeCredit Arena. We sometimes return to it.

The tournament, which consisted of 18 original teams before the Covid pandemic, welcomed 347 teams in 2019.

In addition to Czech teams, teams from Slovakia and Poland regularly participate in the tournament, and German floorball players have started to return.
